One more analysis — then I'll decide
The Befuddled Monarch would have a hard time making a decision even without AI. With AI, it becomes impossible — because now they can always go back to the model for one more analysis. They ask the model to analyze every option, generate every scenario, compare every tradeoff — and then ask it to do it again with different assumptions, because the first pass was not quite conclusive enough.
Symptom
The Monarch's signature move is the request for one more analysis. Every decision generates a new round of modeling. The models are thorough. The decisions never arrive. AI has not created the indecision — it has given the indecision infinite fuel.
Why It Matters
The Befuddled Monarch's indecision is not caution. It is paralysis dressed as diligence. The organization waits for a decision that the Monarch has unconsciously decided never to make, because making it would end the analysis and the analysis is more comfortable than the responsibility.
