Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID in site config) with IP anonymization enabled. We may also load a Google Ads conversion tag. Analytics covers page views, referral sources, and basic device info — not your name or email from browsing alone. You can block analytics cookies via browser settings or extensions.

Email (cheat sheet)

If you request the free mini-card cheat sheet, your email is submitted to Kit (ConvertKit) so we can send the PDF and related updates. You can unsubscribe anytime. See Kit’s privacy policy.

AI tools (Profile Match & Phantom Intern)

These pages let you paste a LinkedIn About/Experience section, resume/bio, or chat question. That text is sent once to a model provider (OpenRouter → Gemini) for inference so we can return a bestiary match or a reply.

  • We do not store pasted profile, resume, or chat text in our databases.
  • Server logs are written without the request body text.
  • We do not use your pasted text to train our own models.
  • The model provider processes the request under their terms; we send only what you submit for that one-shot (or short browser-held chat turn).
  • Chat history for Phantom Intern stays in your browser; the server does not persist conversations.

These tools are entertainment and pattern recognition from the field guide — not career advice, hiring decisions, or medical/legal counsel.

Rate limits & abuse control

We apply in-memory rate limits (per IP and a global daily cap) so the AI endpoints cannot be abused. Your IP is used only for that short-lived abuse control and is not stored as a profile.

Third parties

  • Google Analytics / Google Ads — site analytics and optional conversion measurement. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Kit (ConvertKit) — cheat-sheet email delivery.
  • OpenRouter / Google Gemini — inference for the AI tools when you submit text.
  • Stripe / Google Cloud — payments and hosting for store purchases (see Terms & Privacy).
